HARRISONBURG – On the eve of its first appearance in the national semifinal since 2008, James Madison appears to be picking up momentum on the recruiting trail.
Georgia Tech sophomore running back Marcus Marshall announced via social media, he would transfer to play his final two seasons at JMU.
As a transfer from the FBS to FCS level, Marshall wouldn’t have to sit out – he would be immediately eligible to play in the fall of 2017.
Madison couldn’t confirm. It is against NCAA rules for teams or coaches to comment on unsigned prospects.
In two seasons at Georgia Tech, Marshall carried 182 times for 1,278 yards and eight rushing touchdowns.
