HARRISONBURG – James Madison quarterback Bryan Schor threw for five touchdowns and the FCS No. 1 Dukes cruised to a 52-10 win over East Tennessee State on Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium in Harrisonburg.

Schor connected with wide receivers Ishmael Hyman, Riley Stapleton and David Eldridge for scores. Hyman and Stapleton each had two touchdown receptions, and Eldridge registered his first since transferring to JMU from Virginia as Schor was 25-of-33 for 304 passing yards in the contest.

East Tennessee State was limited 175 total yards of offense and failed to convert two-thirds of its third-down chances, leading to eight punts where Dukes return man John Miller was waiting on the other end.

Miller averaged 42 yards per punt return and his third-quarter 41-yard punt return touchdown gave the Dukes a 35-7 lead.

JMU (2-0) plays its final non-conference game next Saturday against Norfolk State. East Tennessee State (1-1) returns home to host The Citadel.
