It is expected that "Air Raid" offense creator Hal Mumme will be named James Madison's new offensive coordinator some time after Friday.

The pass-loving Air Raid offense constitutes a major shift for JMU, which has used a ground-based offense for years - and the Dukes probably have the quarterback to run the new attack. Michael Birdsong, lover of three-, five- and seven-step drops, has a strong arm and should thrive in a passing offense.
