JMU Still Shopping For A New Offense

This offensive coordinator search is dragging on. National Signing Day is two weeks away, and the James Madison football team still doesn't have an OC. All we know is the offense will be (presumably) pass-based to take advantage of new quarterback Michael Birdsong's skill set.

Two main candidates have emerged: Mike O'Cain and Hal Mumme.

O'Cain is the former Virginia Tech quarterbacks coach and play-caller. Mumme is current head coach at Division III McMurry University in Abilene, Texas and innovator of the Air Raid Offense, which is run by Mike Leach at Washington State and Dana Holgorsen at West Virginia.
