Stewart's Son To Play For JMU

DukesofJMU.com Blaine Stewart, perhaps more than the typical college football recruit, knows that coaches get fired.
So, when the James Madison assistant coach who recruited him was let go in December, Stewart - the son of former West Virginia University coach Bill Stewart, and a wide receiver/long snapper at Morgantown High School - understood that these things happen.
"It was definitely kind of sad, because he was a great guy and he always treated me well," said Stewart, referring to former offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jeff Durden. "I know it's a business and sometimes these things happen."
With Stewart, JMU is getting a football-savvy player - as is usually the case with coach's sons.
